Elina Fogelholm will officially take her position as CEO of pension insurance company Veritas on 1 April 2026.
Fogelholm was appointed as CEO of Veritas in September 2025 and she began working at the company in December 2025. Since December, Fogelholm has worked as a member of Veritas’ executive group while completing the induction programme drafted by the company.
“It is inspiring to take on the role of CEO at this time. Veritas has grown strongly in recent years, and we have an excellent investment year behind us. This provides a solid foundation for continuing to develop our operations and for shaping a new strategy,” says Fogelholm.
According to Fogelholm, Veritas is currently preparing for the pension reform that was submitted to Parliament last week.
“With the pension reform, pension companies will be able to take on greater investment risk and increase the share of equities in their portfolios. The global economy is likely to present challenges this year, and the markets have experienced volatility, but we are doing our utmost to grow Finns’ pension assets. Investing pension assets is, however, a long-term endeavour, and individual weaker years do not undermine the stability of the pension system.”
The Financial Supervisory Authority assessed Fogelholm’s competence in March 2026 and had no comments on the appointment.

From the company’s perspective, it is excellent that the induction period was short and that Elina can step into her role as CEO as early as the beginning of April,” says Gisela Knuts, Chair of the Board of Veritas.
Tommy Sandås, Chief Financial Officer at Veritas, has held the position of interim CEO during Fogelholm’s induction period. Sandås will continue his work as CFO and Deputy CEO of Veritas.
