Veritas’ team was strengthened in May with new expertise, as Sami Lönnroth joined the company as Head of IT and Information Security and Seppo Kurki-Suonio as Head of Equities.
Lönnroth came to Veritas from the software and services company Digia, where he worked as Head of Infrastructure. He has over 15 years of experience in producing and developing IT services in various roles.
“I’m motivated by the enabling role of technology. My goal is to support the business while also creating a secure operating environment for employees and customers,” says Lönnroth.
Before joining Veritas, Kurki-Suonio worked in asset management at S-Bank, where he served as Head of Equity Investments. He was responsible for a team managing equity funds and funds investing in European equities. With over 20 years of experience, Kurki-Suonio has held various portfolio management positions, including roles at Danske Bank and the pension insurance company Ilmarinen.
“I joined Veritas to lead the equity team. It’s a new role and a great opportunity to make use of everything I’ve learned throughout my career. I also value the company’s social significance and, from what I’ve heard, its strong internal culture,” says Kurki-Suonio.
Veritas’ company culture – known as the Veritas culture – also impressed Lönnroth during the recruitment process.
“Emphasizing psychological safety, learning from mistakes, and a solution-oriented approach really resonated with me,” Lönnroth explains.
