The Corporate Responsibility Report of Pension Insurance Company Veritas for 2024 has been published.

“The year 2024 was a successful year for Veritas. For the second year in a row, we grew faster than the industry on average,” says Carl Haglund, CEO of Veritas.

Veritas gained a record number of new customers, and sales increased by more than 50% compared to the previous year.

“It is important for us that our customers receive good service every day. All earnings-related pension insurance companies offer the same YEL and TyEL insurances, but we are the only pension insurance company that provides each customer with a dedicated contact person.”

Emissions from investments have halved

Over the course of the year, Veritas has continued to work towards its responsibility and sustainability goals.

“Customer satisfaction regarding the customer service we provide has developed positively. We have also succeeded in significantly reducing the processing time for pension applications,” says Paula Marjamaa, Sustainability Specialist at Veritas.

With regard to responsible investments, one of our focuses is climate change mitigation.

“Last year, we reduced the carbon dioxide emissions of our investments by 17 per cent. Since 2020, carbon dioxide emissions have been reduced by as much as 55 per cent”, says Marjamaa.

According to Marjamaa, sustainability and responsibility reporting is evolving as required by the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and proposed changes to it.

“We have been advancing our corporate responsibility and sustainability work for a long time and this process will continue in the future. Our reporting focuses on topics that are relevant to us and the provision of necessary information to our stakeholders.

A good employee experience is also visible to customers

During the year, Veritas has invested in the well-being and satisfaction of its employees.

Our investments in the employee experience, an open work culture and the development of a more responsible working life were recognised in November when Veritas won Oikotie’s Responsible Workplace competition for small and medium-sized organisations.

“I strongly believe that a good employee experience is also reflected in our customer work. Satisfied and healthy employees are the key to successful customer service and long-term productivity,” adds Haglund.
