The 2023 Corporate Responsibility Report of Pension Insurance Company Veritas has been published.

“Veritas’ strong growth continued in 2023. We invested heavily in personal service and I am happy to report that companies are increasingly placing trust in Veritas as their pension insurance partner”, says Carl Haglund, CEO of Veritas.

At the end of year, nearly 66,000 employees and 15,000 entrepreneurs were insured by Veritas.
“Responsibility and sustainability are fundamental aspects of our primary task as a pension insurance company. For that reason, they are an integral part of everything we do”, Haglund adds.

Employee satisfaction is reflected in customer service

In November 2023, Veritas placed second in the Responsible Workplace rating by Oikotie, representing the category for small and medium-sized organisations. The satisfaction of employees was also evident from the personnel survey conducted during the autumn, where the eNPS indicator rose to an extremely good and historically high level.

“I am extremely proud of all our Veritas employees. Together, we are building a responsible and sustainable workplace”, states Haglund.

Working towards a carbon-neutral investment portfolio

Veritas invests pension assets profitably, securely and responsibly. Our goal is to select and influence our investments so as to advance the mitigation of climate change. We are developing our portfolio with the objective of achieving carbon neutrality by the year 2035.

“The weighted average carbon intensity of our investments decreased during the year by 4 per cent and, in relation to the comparison level of 2020, the total decrease has already reached 46 per cent. The weighted average carbon intensity of our investment portfolio is 17 per cent lower than the corresponding comparison index”, says Jussi Häkkinen, Sustainability Manager at Veritas.
