TyEL insurance customers receive an annual client bonus from Veritas in the form of a discount on their TyEL insurance contributions. The client bonuses are paid to customers in April.
Client bonuses are distributed to companies that have at least one TyEL insured employee. Occasional employers are not entitled to client bonuses.
“The client bonuses for 2023 are, for the first time, based solely on the solvency capital. Due to the good investment returns, especially towards the end of the year, our solvency capital in euros grew in 2023. As a result, the total amount of client bonuses in euros grew from 2022,” says Teppo Rakkolainen, Chief Actuary at Veritas.
The client bonus for 2023 is applied as a discount on the TyEL insurance contribution paid in April 2024. The amount of the client bonus can also be checked from Veritas’ online service.
The longer the customer relationship with Veritas, the more client bonuses the customer will get. If the client bonus cannot be reduced from the TyEL contribution, it is paid in cash to the customer’s bank account.
“Veritas requires customers to provide a valid bank account number for the possible payment of the client bonus or refunds of insurance contributions. The bank account number can be submitted under ‘Messages and activities’ in our online service,” says Linda Mattsson, TyEL Product Manager at Veritas.
